This year Good old St. Nick brought our little one a leapfrog Leap pad. This past summer I had won a $40.00 Gift Certificate to
Sew Fresh Fabrics from a giveaway sponsored by
Plum and June. I used my Certificate to purchase a half yard of
123-abc-by-alexander-henry, a half yard bundle of
Woodlands Inspired Kona Bundle, and a charm pack of Lucy's Crab Shack by Sweetwater for Moda
that I will use for a separate project.
So I wanted to share what I made with the abc fabric and some of the Kona. I wanted something to help keep his new toy organized and off the floor. For the most part when I sew I never have a pattern or a template I just make it up as I go along.
I knew that I wanted some sort of close able pocket. I had never sewn in a zipper before so I took a piece of scrap fabric I had laying around and practiced first. I actually like the little pencil bag I mad so much that I stuffed some new crayons in it and used it as a stocking stuffer.
Once again I was able to use my new bias tape maker for the cartridge holder.
Then I just used some buttons as some extra embellishments.
I was so happy to have had a chance to make something like this for our little guy. I hope you all have a great holiday season.
Happy Crafting
Smalltown Mama
