Happy 4th of July!!!!

So this is a busy and big week for me. This weekend will launch our first week of the Tetris Themed Crochet-A-Long. However I did want to take a moment to recognize some beautiful work that I came across in my weekly link ups. I had to share this with you. I personally think its one of the most beautiful quilts I have ever seen in my whole life.

I would like to present to you Myra from She Taught Me to Love it...

She called this piece "Stars and Stripes"! With the beautiful patriotic colors. I think anyone would be proud to hang this on their wall. Didn't her friend to an awesome job with the LAQ!! I just think this quilt is stunning.

IMG_7185I started this quilt, oh, about 4 years ago! No, it didn't take me so long to finish it because it was difficult (so easy!) it’s just that I got as far as putting on the border, and – didn’t. So it sat there all this time. I pulled it out a couple of months ago and realized how close I was to finishing it and thought to myself, “That was silly.” Anyway, here it is. I got it back from my favorite LAQ a couple of weeks ago,

I sure hope you can see the amazing quilting that my friend did on this quilt. If you look closely at the blue area, you’ll see four eagles with their wings spread - their tails all in the center. Amazing!
Then in the white border, she quilted the words, “God Bless America” all around it… Beautiful!

Then in the stripes, she did wavy lines and then in the red stripes, she also did stars.

I hope you enjoyed this special feature for the 4th of July. And please remember why it is that we have the freedom that we do! Hope everyone has a safe and fantastic holiday!
